 | 24 Jun 12:49 Introduction This is part 3 of my series on how to use BlazeDS to enable Flex to communicate with Java on the backend. If you've not yet read parts 1 and 2, you should review them before continuing. In this blog entry I'll explain how I created an example to have Java send a user-defined data type (a data transfer object) and a collection of user-defined data types to the Flex application. 24 Jun 12:11 Recently I was lucky enough to participate in the authoring of a book on JavaScript development in AIR with Mike Chambers, Kevin Hoyt, and Dragos Georgita. What has been great about this book is how well it has been received by the community and the fact that you could download a PDF copy of it [... 24 Jun 11:41 We have started doing a bit of work with Flex, being a CF house mainly. The enhanced UI that we can generate with Flex and the ease of which it talks to CF is just awesome. We are writing full applications, using.1. Flex Front End2. ColdFusion Back End3. ColdFusion Report Builder for Reporting.I have to say, that developing web based real word data centric applications like this is working out better than I had hoped. At some point in the future I might post some screen shots. 24 Jun 11:41 Introduction This blog entry continues my exploration of how to use Flex, Java, and BlazeDS together. In this tutorial I explain how to send data from Flex to a Java class. 24 Jun 06:32 Prior to the release of Adobe AIR 1.0, I worked on two books about Adobe AIR (then know by its code name of “Apollo”). The books, “Adobe Integrated Runtime for JavaScript Developers Pocketguide” and “Apollo for Adobe Flex Developers Pocketguide” provided an introduction to Adobe AIR, and all of the information a developer would need to get over the hump of developing for Adobe AIR. 24 Jun 04:26 Five new releases and four updates this week. It was great to see everyone at CFUnited, and there were a number of presentations covering open-source projects. I would actually love to see more, in particular covering some of the lesser known projects. Perhaps this should be a goal for next year at both CFUnited and cf.Objective(). I'd be happy to present some of them myself. 24 Jun 04:16 Depois do comentário que fiz semana passada. 23 Jun 16:58 The following example shows how you can set a creation complete effect on a Flex Accordion container by setting the creationCompleteEffect style. Full code after the jump. 23 Jun 14:16 I have received quite a few emails since the release of AIR 1.0 and Flex 3.0 regarding the AIR Cairngorm API which I developed last year. In the time since I have been working primarily with a modified version of AIR Cairngorm which I used on a number of successful real world AIR applications, however [... 23 Jun 10:33 This summer O’Reilly Media released their Flex 3 Cookbook. In conjunction with the book’s release, Adobe and O’Reilly are running a contest in which developers can publish their code (and experience design) recipes in return for the chance to win some great prizes. All the recipes are organized and stored publicly for use by the [... | | |
