Introduction This is part 3 of my series on how to use BlazeDS to enable Flex to communicate with Java on the backend. If you've not yet read parts 1 and 2, you should review them before continuing. We have started doing a bit of work with Flex, being a CF house mainly. The enhanced UI that we can generate with Flex and the ease of which it talks to CF is just awesome.We are writing full applications, using.1. Flex Front End2. ColdFusion Back End3. ColdFusion Report Builder for Reporting.I have to say, that developing web based real word data centric applications like this is working out better than I had hoped. At some point in the future I might post some screen shots.

Introduction This blog entry continues my exploration of how to use Flex, Java, and BlazeDS together. In this tutorial I explain how to send data from Flex to a Java class.

Prior to the release of Adobe AIR 1.0, I worked on two books about Adobe AIR (then know by its code name of “Apollo”). The books, “Adobe Integrated Runtime for JavaScript Developers Pocketguide” and “Apollo for Adobe Flex Developers Pocketguide” provided an introduction to Adobe AIR, and all of the information a developer would need to get over the hump of developing for Adobe AIR.

Five new releases and four updates this week. It was great to see everyone at CFUnited, and there were a number of presentations covering open-source projects. I would actually love to see more, in particular covering some of the lesser known projects. Perhaps this should be a goal for next year at both CFUnited and cf.Objective(). I'd be happy to present some of them myself.

Depois do comentário que fiz semana passada. Parece-me que a coisa surtiu efeito e para melhor. Hoje fiquei vendo pela Flex-Brasil que já tem grupo apenas de Flex em pernambuco, não é oficial mais tomara que eles registrem-se e continue com todo esse fervor e batendo na mesma tecla como tenho feito ao longo destes 4 anos. Outro grupo que parece-me que está sendo iniciado é o grupo de Flex da cidade de Maringá no Paraná pelo Mário Junior. Coisa muito boa e positiva.
